That's right... Marissa you are paving some pretty amazing roads. I didn't favor you much when you went back to work a week after having your son, but I can get over it. Women aren't common in today's tech landscape, especially ones who don't hide the fact that they are indeed women... who can sit at the big table and negotiate with the big boys in a gorgeous pair of heels.

Good Habits are Worth It
It's been a long day. It started too early and it went too long. I was short with a few people and super nice to others and when I came across this image I took it as a subtle reminder to be consistent with my good habits and to do a little more yoga to get rid of the bad ones. Since there's no time for yoga I'm just going to take a deep breath and give my happy dry-cleaning lady a compliment and be thankful that I'm right where I am.
Master Morgenroth's Baby Suite
As much as I love product design, In another life I might have been just as happy as an astronaut, camp director, or interior designer. In anticipation of our first baby's arrival, I have been indulging my inner interior decorator in daily visits to Pinterest. Below is a WIP view of our nursery. It was pieced together starting with the larger furniture (Moda Collection, Room + Board) and then we pulled details with nostalgic meaning. Our Eames RAR rocker is from 1963. It's fiberglass and a true original. Every time I sit in it I feel smarter, which is especially uplifting when you feel like a hot pregnant mess. The FLOR tiles are designed for destruction, we have extras just in case. Our wall art is intended to capture the whimsical magic of the cities we love (Chicago and San Francisco) as well as the beauty and energy of the waves we "try" to ride on a weekly basis. The little man arrives in just 4 months, hopefully our cat Wolfie will get over his ego by then... really Wolfie? Every picture....

Girl Walk // All Day
The idea behind Girl Walk // All Day emerged from our desire to expand the boundaries around the idea of the traditional music video, which usually spans the length of a single track. This album-length piece will feature a talented group of dancers across a range of public and private spaces around New York City, turning the city's sidewalks and obstacles into part of an evolving improvisational dance routine.
The piece will be available for free online in short, serialized segments and we also plan to screen the full-length film in public spaces, and at festivals, concerts, parties, and beyond — beginning in October 2011 — inspiring an interactive viewing experience that will evolve into a series of dance parties around the globe.

Andy Gilmore
A master of color and geometric composition, Andy Gilmore's work is often characterized as kaleidoscopic and hypnotic, though it could just as well be described as visually acoustic, his often complex arrangements referencing the scales and melodies in music.
Gilmore’s journey toward this masterful style followed a long and winding road. He characterizes his pursuit of education as a tangled web, noting the bookstores, bakeries, and theaters where he worked were of more importance than the schools he attended in pursuit of his BFA, which he received from SUNY Empire State College.
After finishing school, Gilmore relocated to San Clemente, California, where he took up work for FourStar Distribution, resizing print ads for C1RCA Footwear and Forum Snowboards. It would serve as his introduction to the computer and lay the foundation for a career in digital art and design.
Andy Gilmore’s extensive list of clients includes Wired Magazine, The New York Times, Fast Company, Wallpaper*, Warp Records, and yes, Ghostly International. He currently lives and works in Rochester, New York.

On Typography
He has also famously said that there are way too many typefaces in the world and that there are only about a dozen worth using.
